Centrifugal Pump – FM-1849-22

Centrifugal Pump Demonstration Unit (FM-1849-22) is a comprehensive laboratory system designed to help students understand the working principles and performance characteristics of centrifugal pumps. The apparatus is specifically developed for educational institutions and engineering laboratories to demonstrate fundamental fluid mechanics concepts through practical experimentation.

The system is mounted on a robust steel/HDF base plate and consists of a centrifugal pump, transparent water tank, measuring instruments, and all necessary fittings required for conducting experiments. The transparent tank allows students to visually observe the fluid circulation process, making the learning experience more interactive and effective.

This unit enables the study of pump performance characteristics under varying operating conditions, including variable speed and variable head. Students can analyze how pump speed affects flow rate and head while also determining the overall efficiency of the pump system. Built-in sensors and measuring devices allow accurate monitoring of pressure, flow rate, and pump speed, providing reliable experimental data.

For enhanced data analysis, an optional DAQ software package (FM-1849-22SW) is available. Developed in the NI LabVIEW™ environment, the software allows users to acquire, process, and visualize experimental data in real time. It can generate tables, graphs, and comprehensive CSV reports containing all measured and calculated values, making it highly suitable for laboratory documentation and research analysis.
